Our commitment

Robles Consulting LLC aims to make this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of how they browse: keyboard only, with a screen reader, at high magnification, or with motion sensitivity.

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our working standard. To be straight with you: we have not commissioned an independent audit of this site, so this is a statement of intent and current practice rather than a formal claim of conformance.

What we've built in

• Skip to main content as the first focusable element on every page, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
• Semantic landmarks: header, nav, main, and footer regions, and headings in a logical order rather than chosen for their size.
• Touch targets of at least 44 × 44 pixels on interactive elements, and 48-pixel-tall form fields, which also helps anyone with limited dexterity using a mouse.
• Reduced-motion support. If your system asks for less motion, the animated backgrounds, reveal transitions, marquees, and parallax effects are switched off rather than merely slowed down.
• Text alternatives on images, and accessible names on icon-only controls such as the social links and the menu toggle.
• Form fields with real labels: programmatically associated, not placeholder text standing in for a label, with validation errors shown as text next to the field, not by colour alone.
• Visible keyboard focus on interactive elements, and no keyboard traps.
• Font sizes in relative units, so the page reflows when you zoom to 200% or increase your default text size.
• A privacy-first bot check. Cloudflare Turnstile replaces the image puzzles that lock out blind and low-vision users; most visitors pass it without doing anything at all.

Known limitations

We would rather list these than pretend they do not exist:

• No independent audit. Our testing is internal: keyboard walkthroughs, automated checks, and screen reader spot-checks. This catches a lot but not everything.
• Decorative motion and effects. The site leans on animated backgrounds and a cursor-following spotlight. These respect reduced-motion preferences, but the visual density may still be tiring for some visitors.
• Dark theme only. The site has no light mode. Light-on-dark text is harder for some readers, including people with astigmatism, and browser reader modes are the current workaround.
• Third-party content. Article summaries pulled from Medium and our externally hosted insurance certificate are outside our control, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility.
• The business card page generates a downloadable PDF. That output is a visual artefact and is not tagged for screen readers; the same contact details are available as text on our contact page.

We fix what we find. If something here is out of date because we have improved it, we will update this page.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site blocks you, we want to hear about it. A specific report is far more useful to us than a general audit. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what you use to browse (for example “NVDA on Windows” or “keyboard only”).

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days, and we will tell you what we intend to do and roughly when. If you need information from this site in a different format, ask and we will send it to you.
